The SP6000 requires one of the following forms of hearth protection
if not installed directly on concrete poured on earth:
1) Any ULC, or Warnock Hersey Listed R1 Rated Hearth Pad,
2) Site built hearth pad ofnon-combustible material - ceramic tile, stone, brick, etc.
with a minimum combined insulatative rating of R1.
